Koprivshtitsa festival

Every 5 years since 1965 the Minnistry of Culture in Bulgaria have been organizing the biggest festival of the traditional folklore music and arts. The festival takes place in one of the most interesting and beautiful places conserved as an open air museum – the city of Koprivchitsa. Located in the fields of the Balkan range, Koprivchitsa is a «time machine» that can take us back to the time of the Bulgarian Renaissance. The next Festival is scheduled for 10th of August 2015. The program includes traditional dancing’s and musical contest, Bulgarian storytellers and groups performing folk customs.
